Jose Cacho (b. 1958, Mexico) is a painter and sculptor whose practice blends classical and contemporary traditions. Working with acrylics, pigments, charcoal, graphite, pastels, gold, silver, bronze foil, and paper, he creates works that explore humanity through the lens of the female form—bearer of life, wisdom, and mystery. His figures, rooted in symbolism, embody balance and harmony, while his material choices bring a layered tactility that bridges modern experimentation with timeless archetypes. Cacho studied at the San Carlos Academy (UNAM), specializing in Artistic Anatomy, and at the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM). Alongside his artistic career, he has supported humanitarian initiatives, raising awareness around health crises, missing children, and disaster relief. His exhibitions span Mexico, Spain, France, Ireland, the United States, and the United Arab Emirates, with recent group shows including Dazzling Glamor of Creative Pursuit and Artful Alchemy at Mash Gallery, Los Angeles (2024). He lives and works in Mexico City.
